Peanut Sauce (YUM!)
This sauce takes all kinds of things to the next level…
Have you or any one you know ever said…
“I don’t like vegetables”
“I don’t like salad”
Well - here is one pathway to LOVING them!
I have come to use this peanut sauce for not just stir frys and Asian dishes but also as an everyday dressing on Salad. A couple thoughts
Thin it down a bit more for a salad dressing with adding water to the consistency that you would like. The flavor is not compromised at all by doing this. In fact the thinner texture enhances the dressing.
You can use sunflower seed butter as a substitute for peanut butter if you are allergic and /or you would simply like to use sunflowers because you don’t want to use peanuts.
Best to use an organic natural peanut butter that only contains peanuts.
Here is the recipe!
Mix all the following ingredients in a bowl then store in a mason jar in the fridge for as long as it lasts…which won’t be very long!
1 c peanut butter
Squeeze the juice of one lime
1/4 c maple syrup
3 T Soy sauce
1-2 T Hot sauce
Cayenne pepper to taste (optional)
Add water to create the consistency you would like. I recommend a little more runny for salad dressing to coat the salad in a balanced way. Enjoy!!
